ARLISS 2014

Overview

SNUSAT participated in the ARLISS2014 event which was held from September 8th to 12th in 2014, at Black Rock Desert, Nevada, US.

In this competition, SNUSAT was in 3rd position in Mission Competition.

SNUSAT은 2014년 9월 8일부터 12일까지, 미국 네바다 Black Rock Desert에서 열린 ARLISS2014에 참가했습니다.

이 대회에서 SNUSAT은 Mission Competition 부문에서 3위를 차지했습니다.


Mission: Bring Back

Mission Report

The mission of SNUSAT in ARLISS 2014 was a Bring Back Mission. The mission is to find a landing spot of the satellite, pick it up and move the satellite towards the target spot by a rover.

This mission was suggested to simulate a resupply mission on a remote planet in which the rover navigates the package location, picks the package up and bring the package to the base(target spot).

SNUSAT의 ARLISS 2014 미션은 브링백 미션이었습니다. 이 미션은 로버가 3km 고도에서 낙하하여 착륙한 인공위성을 찾아서 집어 올리고, 목적지까지 운반하는 시나리오의 미션입니다.

이 미션은 외부 행성에 낙하한 보급 물자를 로버가 찾아서 기지까지 운반한다는 가상의 임무를 시뮬레이션하는 것으로 제안되었습니다.

System Overview

Bringback Mission
Bring back mission’s objective is to locate the cansat which have been deployed by the rocket, pick it up using the rover and move it to the target location. The system consists of a Rover, Satellite and the ground station.
Satellite
Satellite
Satellite is capable of controlling of it’s posture for maximum communication range. After drop the satellite recovers the parachute and sends it’s GPS position and orientation.

Satellite : The satellite was successfully deployed on the ground, sending postion and orientation data.
Rover : The Rover was not able to pickup the signal of the satellite and went in to recovery mode, which moves to the target location.
